My research develops and applies methods in causal inference, decision modeling, and reinforcement learning to support better decision-making in health and public policy. I study the impacts of physician behavior, health policies, and personalized medicine. Thematically, I am interested in the areas of mental health and emergency medicine.
I am an NIMH T32 Predoctoral Research Fellow in Comparative Effectiveness Research for Suicide Prevention at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Research Statistician with The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. I also care deeply about teaching—I have been very fortunate to work with many students at Harvard, The University of Chicago, and New Haven Public Schools during my time as a Teach For America corps member.
